Broomhill Football Club will be welcoming Civil Service Strollers to The Rock on Tuesday evening and we are pleased to announce that entry will be on a ‘Pay What You Can’ basis with all proceeds from the match going to West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare.
As part of our commitment to engage with the local community, we are delighted to be working with WD Community Foodshare to provide what we hope is a substantial donation, along with a ticket allocation each week to allow them to provide affordable days out for local families across the Lowland League season.
Clair Coyle, Charity Manager of West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare told us: “We are delighted to partner with Broomhill FC and thank you very much for your donation. At this time, we are supporting a record number of people affected by poverty and food insecurity across West Dunbartonshire, with our highest increase amongst elderly and working households. All monetary donations received are used to purchase ambient, fresh and frozen foods which go in our emergency food parcels. We deliver parcels 5 days a week and each of our parcels contains a one-week supply.
We welcome Broomhill FC to the area and wish them all the best for the season ahead. Thank you for supporting our work.”
John Dods, Club Secretary, said: “Broomhill have always tried to support community efforts in our area wherever we can and, as part of our long term commitment to making Dumbarton our home, we are delighted to be able to offer tickets and the proceeds from our upcoming home game to West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare. Hopefully folk coming along on Tuesday evening are able to support our fundraising efforts and give generously (if you can!) at the gate.”
